“around the throne was a rainbow’… is that where our tears end up?

Many years ago I saw this picture in the Spirit… a connection between two scriptures. It has continued to encourage myself and others many times since then.

“Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne.3And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne…” Rev 4:2-3

and “You Yourself have recorded my wanderings. Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your records? ” Psalm 56: 8

I saw Papa God surrounded by the records of all our heart-aches, sorrows and burdens because He had gathered every tear that fell from every eye and collected them in prisms of His love and was shining His light through them,  clothing  Himself with the promises He made…no more tears, no more heart-ache, no more death…instead joy unspeakable and full of glory and a new body that can bear the weight of His presence.

We launch ourselves into Your promises,
rainbows flashing the glow of emerald coals
that burn and flame in us
as we lay ourselves down as living stones in Your new Jerusalem
and we become clothed in the living rainbows of You
as Your glory and goodness shine through us
to colour our world with the hope of You…
a pledge and a promise
that on that One Day,
You will become clothed in the living rainbows of us.

  1. It is the gift of the abiding things, ‘faith, hope and love’ that is the light shining through our human suffering….that is what makes us see the promise – The rainbow!
He’s lovely isn’t He. Makes me smile x
